Something else to do? Well in an effort to keep everyone up to date with the adventures of our family I thought I would try this medium. It's easy to update, for me and Katie, and allows comments (be nice).
Well it's getting more settled here. The kids are enjoying school and have adjusted well. Noah and I have spent some time fishing and are getting a bit discouraged. Everyone keeps telling us to just give it time, once it warms up the fishing it unbelievable. We are anxiously awaiting the warm-up, for more reasons than fishing!
Katie's doing a lot of embroidery and sewing, in between keeping Ella entertained during the day. She is having a blast learning new things and keeping her loyal customers with the latest stuff!
This weekend Papaw Bob and Grandmommy were here for a couple days. We were able to show them the area and have a little Sullivans Island seafood before they took an early departure to miss the Carolina snow storm. It was great to see them and I know the kids enjoyed it as well. Ella has a new bud now as she was lounging with Papaw Bob on the sofa Saturday morning.
The weekend before Nana and Ron were down. We too showed them the area and they had a chance to enjoy some local seafood at Sewee Restaurant. It's a great little restaurant that has been featured in Southern Living. Other than being a little pricey the food is outstanding. The next night we bought some local fresh seafood and fixed it ourselves. Fresh flounder and a half bushel of steamed oysters. We were fat and happy afterwards.
In a couple weeks Papaw and Memaw are coming. We are hoping the water warms enough to get a chance to do a little fishing. Noah's ready, and I am too. I am prepared to come back empty handed, again; but it will be fun either way. It will be the weekend of Ella's birthday, and Memaws as well so we will be celebrating. Ella will be 3 and we can't believe it.
