July Update

July 4th, NC State Waterski Champs (at home), final beach trip............what a month. We managed to get it all in during July.

I took some much needed R&R over the 4th of July and we played on the lake, among other things. The weather was great so we were able to take the boat down to the 4th of July fireworks display held on the lake. It was the first time we had the opportunitity to go by boat since, ever. We loaded our nephews(Logan and Ethan with Papaw too) and make the trip. It was a blast. We held Noah's birthday that week too so it was a packed week. Either way we enjoyed the long stay in NC and playing in the lake. Wrapped up the week with the NC State Waterskiing Champs. We hosted them here at Clear Lake. Abbie took 2nd in slalom and 1st in tricks and 1st overall. Noah was 3rd in Slalom, and Ella was the halftime show. We all had a wonderful time and it was truly a great time seeing our exteded waterskiing family. We held our state banquet at Richard Childress' new banquet hall and had a large time. Thanks to RCR for letting us be there!

Back to Mt Pleasant, and back to work. We were wrapping up the last month in Charleston and Noah finished up his summer baseball season. We had a great time but it was hot! Hard to get the kids motivated when it is mid 90's and heat indexes in the 110 range? Either way Noah was always the first out of the dugout and the first with his helment on. That boy loves baseball.

We got moved out of the house we were in and got everything back to NC. It is hard to believe that we had this much stuff there. I guess when you take a little each trip adds up.

One last fishing trip, beach trip and a birthday dinner for Katie at a wonderful downtown restaurant put a fitting end to the Charleston Summer. We did have a wonderful time during our adventures in Charleston. We didn't ever show any pictures of our home in Charleston where we spent the last 9 months until we were ready to go. Sorry, but better late than never.

Let the adventures continue!!
